Phyllis A. (Malinconico) Chanowich

Phyllis A.  (Malinconico) Chanowich, 96 of Matawan, formerly of Keyport, passed away Friday April 12, 2024, at Spring Hills Assisted Living of Matawan.

Phyllis was a high school graduate and for many years was employed as a Cosmetology Teacher at the Concord School of Beauty and Culture of Eatontown.

She was born in Holmdel, New Jersey to the late Aniello Malinconico Sr. and Attilia (Murolo) Malinconico.

   Phyllis is also predeceased by her beloved husband William B. Chanowich, a proud World War II Veteran and recipient of the Purple Heart and Bronze Star; and her siblings Aniello Malinconico Jr., Josephine Guerriero, Saveria Conticchio, Anthony Malinconico, Ralph Malinconico, Louis Malinconico, Joseph Malinconico and Carmin Malinconico.

She is survived by her beloved Nieces Dianna Andrews of Keyport, Theresa Paluzzi and her husband Frank of North Middletown and many other loving Nieces and Nephews.

Friends and relatives are invited to a visitation for Phyllis on Friday April 19, 2024, from 2-4PM and 7-9PM at Day Funeral Home 361 Maple Place Keyport, New Jersey 07735 and again Saturday April 20, 2024, 9AM at the funeral home for a 10AM Mass of Christian Burial at Saint Joseph's Church (Our Lady of Fatima Parish) of Keyport.

Burial will follow in Saint Joseph's Cemetery of Keyport.
