Anne Conway, 100, Born in Newark, moved to Keyport in the late 1930's and attended Keyport High School. Anne, along with her husband Jack owned the former Stanley's Diner for 28 years, previously run by Anne's parents Helen and Stanley Zabriski for 32 years. Anne's life was the diner and she loved every minute there. It was a 50-year service to the community in a town she truly appreciated. She and Jack retired in 1986.
She was a member of the Jesus the Lord, R.C. Church, a weekly volunteer for the Keyport Food Pantry and a member of the Keyport Senior Center where she taught line dancing to a special group of Ladies for years. She and the group would visit other facilities to bring joy and entertainment with their dance routines to many.
Anne is predeceased by her husband John and siblings; Clara Stary, Julie Dorry and Mae Kelly. She is survived by her loving children; Mary Mullaney and husband Bud of Matawan, John Conway Jr. and wife Sheila of Keyport and Michael Conway of Keyport. She also leaves her cherished grandchildren and their spouses; Joseph and Shannon Mullaney of Freehold, Michael and Christine Mullaney of Matawan, Meghan and Patrick Walker of South Carolina, Sean and Kayla Conway of Maryland, Kyle and Ariel Conway of Matawan and her adored great grandchildren; Logan, Bennett, Brianna, Morgan Mullaney, Travis and Ginny Conway.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested you consider donating to one of Anne's favorite charities, either The Keyport Food Pantry or Seeing Eye Dogs, in her name.
Special thanks to the Dove Hospice and their wonderful assistance in Anne's care, especially to her nurses, Nick and Erin, who truly gave their all in Anne's and the families journey throughout this
difficult time.
