Veronica Gajewski, 94, of Union Beach, passed away, Wednesday, January 23, 2013, at Laurel Bay Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Keansburg. She was born in Nanticoke, PA; and resided in Kearny and Jersey City before moving to Union Beach in 1999. She worked as a bank teller for 20 years with Trust Company of New Jersey, West Bergen, retiring in 1981.
Veronica was predeceased by her beloved husband, Xavier J. Gajewski in 1983; a daughter, Joan Uhlik; and her parents, Peter and pearl Dudek Jasinski. She is survived by her loving son, Robert Gajewski of Union Beach; five cherished grandchildren, Kim, Lenore, Robert, Amy and April; and two adored great grandchildren, Savannah and Michael.
Family and friends are invited Monday, January 28, 2013, from 9-11AM at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, NJ 07735, with a 9:30AM service at the funeral home.
