Robert E. Graff, 61, of Union Beach, passed away, Thursday, August 30, 2012, at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Born in Brooklyn, NY, he resided in Old Bridge before moving to Union Beach 29 years ago. He worked as a machine operator with International Paper, Spotswood for 42 years; where he was shop steward for 30 years. Robert served his country in the Navy during Vietnam and served aboard the USS Charles R. Ware. He was an avid fisherman; a baseball coach with the Union Beach Pilots; was a member of the borough council in Union Beach; and involved with the Old Bridge Little League which was started by his father and where he played when he was younger.
Robert is predeceased by his father, Elwood H. Graff. He is survived by his beloved wife, Adrienne Martino Graff; two sons, Jason Robert Graff and Michael Anthony Graff, all of Union Beach; his mother, Jeanette Gorback Graff of Hawley, PA; three sisters, Doreen Mitchell of Delavan, WI; Darlene Silver-Fischer and husband, Wayne of Bloomington, IL; and Susan Graff of Hawley, PA; and a grandchild on the way, Kaeleigh Shae. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
