John T. “Pops” Ryan, 74, of the Cliffwood Beach section of Old Bridge, passed away, Monday, August 27, 2012, at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank.  Born in Staten Island, he resided there before moving to Cliffwood Beach 46 years ago.  He worked as a fork lift driver with Nassau Recycling before retiring.  

John was predeceased by his beloved wife, Barbara Ryan; a son, John Ryan; and his parents, James and Florence Ryan.  He is survived by his children, James Ryan and wife, Tracey of Union Beach; Tracy Sweatt of Cliffwood Beach; and Brenda Carbone and husband, Scott of Morganville; and six cherished grandchildren, Scotty, Taylor, Christopher, Cyndill, Sammie and Jack.  He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
