Eileen E. Decker, 94, of Old Bridge passed away Monday May 14, 2012 at CareOne, Holmdel. Born in Jersey City, she attended St. Dominick Academy in Jersey City, and Standards Statistics Business School, New York City. Eileen worked for the Old Bridge Board of Education for 14 years as secretary for five schools, Southwood, Cheesequake, McDivitt, Shepard and Miller. She volunteered for 25 years at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge. She was a thoughtful, caring, generous woman who loved to dance, loved the beach and had a great sense of humor. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Eileen was predeceased by her beloved husband of 64 years, Creighton P. Decker; her parents, Jeremiah and Catherine Buckley; and her siblings, John and James Buckley, and Kathryn Peduto. She is survived by her children, Creighton T. Decker and his wife Trish of Moorestown, Christine Papp and her husband Thomas G. of Interlaken, James Decker and his wife Catherine Bradley of Asheville, NC, John Decker and his wife Susan of South River, and Jeffrey Decker of Old Bridge; grandchildren, T.J. Papp and his wife Sabrina, Austin Papp and his fiancé Amber Reynolds, Jeffrey Decker, Anna Decker, Jeremiah Decker and Anna Godden; one great granddaughter, Lily Nola Papp; along with several loving nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to a Memorial Mass Friday May 18, 2012, 10:15AM at St. Thomas the Apostle RC Church, Old Bridge. Entombment will follow at Holmdel Mausoleum, Holmdel.
