William E. Coons, 89, of Middletown, passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2016, at his son’s home in South Amboy. He worked as a truck driver for Cambeis Trucking, Brooklyn, NY, for 30 years. He served in the Merchant Marines during Korea.
William was predeceased by his beloved wife, Irene (Borucki) Coons in 2016; his parents; and his two brothers, George and John. He is survived by a daughter and son, Maryann Hunt and her husband, Thomas; and William Coons, Jr. and his companion, JoAnn Rossi; six cherished grandchildren, Jamie, Gregory, Jeremy,and Melody Hunt; John and Robert Coons, and two precious great grandchildren, Joshua and Jared. He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by his family and friends.
There will be no calling hours at the funeral home. William will be entombed on Thursday, September 22, 2016, 11AM, at Fair View Cemetery, Middletown.
