Theresa (Della Pietro) Esposito

Theresa (Della Pietro) Esposito, 97, of Matawan, passed away, Tuesday, June 21, 2016, at home surrounded by the love of her family.  Born in Holmdel, she resided in Keyport and Matawan most of her life.  She worked as a bookkeeper for the food service company within Bell Labs.  She was a communicant of St. Joseph RC Church, Keyport.  Theresa was devoted to her family and her church.

Theresa was predeceased by her beloved husband, Alfonso Esposito; her parents, Phillip and Antoinette (Ciccone) Della Pietro; and a grandson, Steven Hetrick, Jr.   She is survived by her loving daughter, Rose McCallen and her husband Howard III of Milltown; a dear sister, Antoinette Guisti of Matawan; four sisters-in-law, Lucille Della Pietro, Lillian Della Pietro, Gloria Furey and Doris Esposito; her cherished grandchildren, Dawn King and her husband Christopher; Howard McCallen, IV and his fiancée Julia Watson and Amanda Tillotson and her husband Kevin; eight precious great-grandchildren, Ariella Helmstetter, Shane King, Cedrick King, Nathaniel King, Esther King, Izabelle King, Titus King, and Mackayla Tillotson; and one adorable great great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Ruiz. She will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by her family and friends.

Visitation will take place on Friday, June 24, 2016, from 2-4 & 7-9PM, at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, NJ  07735; and Saturday, June 25, 2016, 9:15AM at the funeral home, with a 10AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph RC Church, Keyport.  Entombment will follow at St. Joseph Mausoleum, Keyport.  To post a condolence to the family or for directions to the funeral home, please visit www.dayfuneralhome.com.
