Salvatore R. Rego, 86, recently of Matawan, passed away Saturday, May 14, 2016 at The Bayshore Community Hospital of Holmdel.
He was born in Brooklyn, NY and would later relocate to Matawan.
He would work as a Carpenter for many years in New York City, eventually working at the Megalo Construction Company in Keyport where he retired in 2001.
Salvatore was predeceased by his parents John Rego and Maria Ferrara; his beloved wife Josephine A. (Rainone) Rego; and a dear daughter Maria M. Rego-Hill.
He is survived by his children Nicholas Rego and his wife Vicky Feijoo of Holmdel and John Rego and his wife Roxanne Yonan of Lawrenceville.
Salvatore also leaves behind six cherished grandchildren; Rosemarie Hill, Annamarie Hill-Webb, Jeffrey, Alexandra, Atticus and Salvatore Rego.
At the request of the family, Salvatore will be privately cremated.
