Ricardo Ifield

Ricardo Ifield, 81, of Hazlet, passed away, Monday, January 15, 2018, at Madison Center, Old Bridge.  He was born in Tela, Honduras.  He retired in 1997, as a Computer Analyst with Merrill Lynch, Princeton.  He was a funny guy, who was generous financially; an avid tennis fan; and a jazz enthusiast and went to many jazz festivals in Louisiana.  He served in the U.S. Army, with the 82nd Airborne, stationed at Fort Bragg, during peacetime. 

Ricardo was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Stella (Pike) Ifield; a daughter, Myrna Ifield; his sister, Jacqueline Scott; and a brother, Lionel Ifield.  He is survived by his beloved wife, Shirley (Greene) Ifield of Hazlet; Deborah Ifield of Brooklyn, NY; Donna Ifield of Brooklyn, NY; Ricardo Ifield, Jr. of Summerville, SC; Dorene Ifield of Schenectady, NY; and Ronald Ifield of Avenel, NJ; a brother, Carlos Ifield of Maryland; cherished grandchildren, Delissa, Siobhann, Romel, Charles, Donnaysia, Angelica, Dominque, Shameek, Markell, Queasia, Shakieya and Shaquaya; great grandchildren, Giomani, Shaliya, Genesis, Neema, Amara, Dahmir, Jayden, Sahmiya, Keimani, Khloe, Kaylahn, DJ, Zahne,  Iyani, Mya, Shallah, London and Linda; and a host of nieces and nephews.  He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by his family and friends.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, January 18, 2018, from 9AM to 12PM, with an 11:30AM service at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, NJ  07735.  Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Keyport.  Condolences to the family or directions to the funeral home may be done through the website www.dayfuneralhome.com.
