Nancy (Saccone) Papa

Nancy (Saccone) Papa, 95, of Matawan, passed away, Sunday December 17, 2017, surrounded by her family, at Bayshore Healthcare Center, Holmdel.

Nancy was predeceased by her parents, Pasquale Saccone and Marie (Vaccarella) Saccone; her beloved husband, Victor in 2008; and two sisters, Jenny Ciaglia and Mary Tomasello.

Nancy was born in Waterbury, Connecticut and moved to Italy at 2 years old and came back to the United States at the age of 16 and resided in Matawan for 72 years before moving and living, most recently, in Holmdel.  She was a homemaker.

She is survived by her beloved children, Diane Cochran and her husband David of Long Branch; Linda Mottola and her husband Stephen of Hillsborough; cherished grandchildren, Frank Cochran and his wife Jennifer of Stanford, California; Michael Cochran of Brick; Stephen Mottola and his wife Jessica of Milltown; and Carrie Cavanaugh and her husband Paul of Flemington.  Nancy also leaves behind three adored great-grandchildren, Samantha Rae, Griffin Paul, and Natalie Paige.

Friends and family are invited for visitation for Nancy on Wednesday, December 20, 2017, from 4-8PM, at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place Keyport, New Jersey 07735 and Thursday, December 21, 2017, 9AM at the funeral home with a 10AM Mass of Christian burial at St. Clements RC Church, Matawan. Interment will follow in St Joseph Cemetery, Keyport.
