Michael John Wheeler

Michael John Wheeler, 76, recently of Wall, formerly of North Bergen, passed away Saturday December 30, 2017 at The Preferred Care Nursing Home of Wall.

He was born in New York City, New York and received an Associate’s Degree in Accounting from Hudson County Community College of New Jersey.

For many years Michael was in the trucking industry, working for Heineken Beer, out of Secaucus, New Jersey.  

Michael was predeceased by his parents Andrew Wheeler and Catherine (Kelly) Wheeler; and by siblings Dorothy, Margaret, James, Mary, Andrew, Maurice, Robert, and Joseph.

He is survived by 3 beloved sons Edward Wheeler and his wife Maureen of Tinton Falls, Michael Wheeler of Matawan and Scott Wheeler of Middletown.

He also leaves behind a dear grandson Chantz Wheeler, a sister Kathleen, and former wife Patricia Wheeler.

A visitation will be held for Michael on Tuesday January 2, 2018 from 6-9PM at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place Keyport, New Jersey 07735, and on Wednesday January 3, 2018 8AM at the funeral home with a Mass of Christian burial at 9AM at St Lawrence Church of Laurence Harbor, New Jersey.  

At the request of the family, following mass, Michael will be privately cremated.
