Maureen E. (Welton) Koster

Maureen E. (Welton) Koster, 75, of Jackson, passed away, Thursday, July 23, 2015. Born in New York, she raised her children in Matawan, moving to Jackson 18 years ago. She was a homemaker, who was a devoted wife to her husband Henry; and loving mother and grandmother.  She was sweet, loving and always thinking of others before herself.  She was loved by all whom she met with her magnetic happy spirit and down to earth attitude that made her unique to all those she met and loved.  She had an unmeasured, unconditional love, support and guidance for her children and grandchildren, family and dear friends.  There are not enough words to describe her beautiful, unselfish, loving and patient soul.

Maureen was predeceased by her beloved husband, Henry Koster, in 1985; her parents, Fredrick and Catherine (Corrigan) Welton; and two brothers, Fredrick and John Welton.  She is survived by her loving children, Michele Ross and her husband Scott of Wake Forest, NC; Cheryl Koster of Jackson; and Michael Koster and his wife Jen Koster of Mooresville, NC; dear siblings, Jean O’Connor, Joan Soimes, Robert Welton, Carol Gill, Catherine Allen, Richard Welton, Kevin Welton and Eileen Welton; and five cherished grandchildren, Tyler, Henry, Madelyn, Alexander and Eva Maureen.  She will be dearly missed beyond words by all who knew and loved her.

Family and friends are invited Sunday, July 26, 2015, from 2-5 & 7-9PM, at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, NJ  07735; and Monday, July 27, 2015, 8AM at the funeral home, with a 9AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Lawrence RC Church, Laurence Harbor, NJ.  Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Valhalla, NY.  You may post a condolence to the family at the funeral home website.
