Mary (O'Herron) Ziegler

Mary (O’Herron) Ziegler, 92, of Matawan, passed away, Thursday, February 4, 2016, at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank.  She was born in Duncott, PA.  She worked as a Classified Mail Clerk with the Fort Monmouth Army Postal office for 30 years, retiring in 1984.  She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary in PA; and the Washington Engine Company Ladies Auxiliary of Matawan; and volunteered her time at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel.  She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Mary was predeceased by her beloved husband, Robert Ziegler.  She is survived by her loving children, Merry Ann Ziegler Olshefskie and her husband Carl; and Robert L. Ziegler and his wife Barbara; her cherished grandchildren, Patricia Krietz and husband Joe; Melissa Adams and husband Mike; Owen Olshefskie and wife Melissa; Robert Ziegler and wife Jen; Daniel Ziegler; and Michael Ziegler; her adored great grandchildren, Rebekka Diehl; Jakob Haines; Joshua Krietz; Michael Adams; Katie Adams; Eli Olshefskie and Isabella Olskefskie; and a precious great great granddaughter, Isabella Dinh.  She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by her family and friends.

Visitation will take place on Sunday, February 7, 2016, from 2-6PM, at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, NJ  07735; and Monday, February 8, 2016, 8:30AM at the funeral home, with a 9:15AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph RC Church, Keyport.
