Mary L. (Balchuck) Zeni

Mary L. (Balchuck) Zeni, 80, of Holmdel, passed away, Tuesday, November 17, 2015, at home.  Born in Milwaukee, WI, she resided in NYC, and Matawan for 48 years, moving to Holmdel five years ago.  Mary worked as a teacher with St. Joseph School, Keyport, retiring in 2000.  She was a parishioner of St. Joseph RC Church; and also a church volunteer for over 15 years.  She ran bingo and was chairperson; and organized and ran the parish fair.

Mary was predeceased by her parents, Edmund and Lillian (Hathaway) Balchuck; and a son, David Zeni in 2005.  She is survived by her beloved husband, Louis Zeni; her loving children, LouAnn Coletti and husband Joe of Matawan; and Richard Zeni and wife Desiree of Denver, CO; daughter-in-law, Maria Zeni; two dear sisters, Jeanette San Filippo and Patty Maciona, both of Wisconsin; four cherished grandchildren, Lauren Coletti, and Christina, Lisa and Matthew Zeni;  and many adored nieces and nephews.   Mary will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by her family and friends.

Visitation will be Friday, November 20, 2015, 4-8PM, at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, NJ  07735; and Saturday, November 21, 2015, 10:30AM at the funeral home, with an 11:15AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph RC Church, Keyport.  Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Keyport.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Mary to the St. Joseph RC Church, 376 Maple Place, Keyport, NJ  07735.  To post an online condolence to the family or for directions to the funeral home, please visit www.dayfuneralhome.com.
