Mary Lou Wallace

Mary Lou Madreperl Wallace died Sunday, October 11, 2009 at Virtua Memorial Hospital's Good Samaritan Hospice, Mt. Holly. She was 78. Born in Pennsburg, PA, she resided in Red Bank, Matawan and Tinton Falls before moving to Southampton several years ago. She was an avid sports fan, loved the Devils and the Mets, and was an animal lover. She was predeceased by her husband, retired Aberdeen Police Chief Ralph E. Wallace; her son, Eric Wallace, and a brother, Warren Madreperl. Surviving are four children, Wayne and his wife Maureen Wallace of Union Beach, Gregory of Long Branch, Sharon and her husband Harry Stark of Matawan, and Tammy and her husband John Trotter of Southampton; two sisters, Lorraine Schmittle of Arizona, and twin Joanne Halgas of Charlotte, NC; and five grandchildren, Raellen, Christopher, Brian, Douglas, and Kellianne. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at a time to be announced in the Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Keyport. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9PM.
