Mary (Lawson) Hardie

Mary Lawson Hardie, 98, of Matawan, passed away May 13, 2015, at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel.  Born in Woodbury, she lived in Matawan most of her life.  She was a Librarian for Long Branch High School and received her Master’s Degree from Drexel University in Library Science in 1938.

Mary is predeceased by her husband Robert.  She is survived by her loving children Phyllis Hardie Hargrove of Pensacola, Florida and Donald Hardie and his wife Angela of Holmdel, and three grandsons, Drew Specht, Kevin Specht and Brian Hardie.  Mary also leaves behind five great grandchildren, David, Austin, Jake, Darby and Cole.  She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
