Lillian T. (Piazza) Della Pietro

Lillian T. (Piazza) Della Pietro, 96, of Matawan/Old Bridge Township/Cheesequake Village, passed away, Thursday, September 14, 2017, at the Rose Garden Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Toms River.  She was born in Matawan to the late Frank and Virginia (Triassi) Piazza.    She worked at Entron Labs in Morganville, retiring in 1984.  She was a communicant of St. Joseph RC Church, Keyport; a member of the St. Clement Seniors and Cheesequake Village; and also a member of the Catholic Daughters of America.

Besides her parents, Lillian was also predeceased by her beloved husband, Frederick Della Pietro; a son-in-law, Richard Clifford; her siblings, Josephine Saccone, James Piazza, Jennie Mattia, Nina Raimo and Virginia Binaco. 

She is survived by her loving children, Antoinette “Toni” Clifford of Brick and Elizabeth Nethkin and her husband Charles of Southport, NC; her cherished grandchildren, Michael Nethkin and Emily Erwin and her husband Zach; a dear sister-in-law, Lucille Della Pietro of Keyport; and many nieces and nephews.  She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by her family and friends.

Visitation will be Tuesday, September 19, 2017, from 3-7PM, at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, NJ  07735; and Wednesday, September 20, 2017, 10:15AM at the funeral home, with a 11AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph RC Church, Keyport.  Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Keyport.  To post a condolence to the family or obtain directions to the funeral home, please visit www.dayfuneralhome.com.
