Kenneth Michael Dietrich

Kenneth Michael Dietrich, 77, of Keyport, passed away, Monday, August 14, 2017, at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel.  He was born in Long Branch. Ken was a self-employed truck driver. He was a straight forward guy, who loved to travel, many trips in a motor home; loved motor cross; and especially loved to watch his grandchildren at sporting events.

Kenneth was predeceased by his parents, Herbert and Virginia (Derby) Dietrich; a son, Daniel Dietrich; and his two brothers, Herbert Dietrich and Gary Dietrich.  He is survived by his beloved wife, Catherine “Snooky” (Trahim) Dietrich; two loving sons, Kenny Dietrich and his wife Christine of Aberdeen and John Dietrich of Keyport; a sister, Peggy Anne Colton of NC; eight cherished grandchildren; and one precious great grandchild.  He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by his family and friends.

Visitation will take place on Monday, August 21, 2017, from 4-8PM, at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, NJ  07735; and Tuesday, August 22, 2017, 9:30AM, with a 10AM service at the funeral home.  Entombment will follow at St. Joseph Mausoleum, Keyport.  To post a condolence to the family or for directions to the funeral home, please visit www.dayfuneralhome.com.
