Kelly M. (Zawartkay) Johns

Kelly M. (Zawartkay) Johns, 41, of Laurence Harbor, passed away, Friday, February 23, 2018, at home.  Born in South Amboy, she was a lifelong resident of Laurence Harbor.  She worked as a clerk with Carlin-Simpson Associates, Sayreville. 

Kelly was predeceased by her parents, Robert and Marie (Hussey) Zawartkay; and her adoptive mother, Jane Whatton.  She is survived by her loving daughter, Chelsea Johns and her boyfriend Nick of Winter Springs, FL; her adoptive father, Allen Whatton of Laurence Harbor; her siblings, Arlee Burlew and husband Derek of Old Bridge and Aaron Whatton of NYC; her longtime partner, Frank Scurato of Laurence Harbor; her stepchildren, April and Russell Scurato, both of Laurence Harbor; and an adored niece, Ariana Burlew.  She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by her family and friends.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, March 1, 2018, from 2-4 & 7-9PM, at Day Funeral  Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, NJ  07735, with a 7:30PM service at the funeral home.  Cremation will be private.  You may post a condolence to the family or obtain directions to the funeral home through the website www.dayfuneralhome.com.
