Kathryn Estelle (Adkins) Kniering

Kathryn Estelle (Adkins) Kniering, 94, of Matawan, passed away, Friday, March 20, 2015, at home.  Born in Salisbury, MD, she resided there before moving to Old Saybrook, Connecticut and then to Matawan.  She was a homemaker.

Kathryn was predeceased by her beloved husband, John Kniering in 2005; and her parents, Elmer and Edna (Morris) Adkins.  She is survived by two sons, Bruce Kniering and his wife Tuyet of Morganville; and John Kniering, Jr. and his wife Victoria of Cheshire, Connecticut; a brother, E. Robert Adkins of Washington, DC; four cherished grandchildren, Jennifer Kniering and her husband, Paul Schwartz; Christina Greenberg and her husband, Keith; Alyssa Kniering; and Anders Kniering and his wife, Meggie Morris; and two great grandchildren, Mackenzie and Jackson.  She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Friday, March 27, 2015 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, NJ  07735.  A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2015, at 10 AM, at the First Presbyterian Church of Matawan, 883 State Rt. 34, Matawan, NJ  07747.  Cremation will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Deacons’ Fund of the 1st Presbyterian Church of Matawan, 883 State Rt. 34, Matawan, NJ  07747.
