Joseph A. Weitman, Jr.

Joseph Alex Weitman, Jr., 60, of Freehold, passed away, Thursday, May 26, 2016, at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, Philadelphia, PA.  Born in Miami, FL, he resided in Old Bridge his whole life prior to moving to Freehold.  He worked as a carpenter for 42 years and was spectacular in his work.  He loved cruises, day trips, television crime dramas and reading James Patterson novels in his favorite recliner. 

Joseph was predeceased by his father, Joseph A. Weitman, Sr., in 2011.   He is survived by his beloved wife, Paula (Arcado) Weitman; son, Brett Allen Weitman; daughter, Danielle Ashley Weitman; stepdaughter, Jessica Ryan and stepson, John Ryan; his mother, Josephine (White) Weitman; his brother, John Oscar Weitman; and his dog, Emma.  He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by his family and friends.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, June 2, 2016, from 2-4 & 7-9PM, at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, NJ 07735; and Friday, June 3, 2016, 9:30AM at the funeral home with a 10AM service at the funeral home.  Interment will follow at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Iselin.  To post a condolence to the family or for directions to the funeral home, please visit www.dayfuneralhome.com.
