Joseph C. DePinto

Joseph C. DePinto, 85, of the Matawan section of Old Bridge Township, passed away, Monday, March 27, 2017, at Care One @ King James, Atlantic Highlands.  Born in Molfetta, Italy, he moved to the United States, living in Hoboken, then Union City and Holmdel, before settling in Old Bridge Township.  He retired in 1986, as a supervisor with Maxwell House, Hoboken.  He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

Joseph was predeceased by his parents, Corrado and Maria (DeBari) DePinto; and his two sisters, Maria DeCandia and Fanny Cappelluti.  He is survived by his children, Maria Cerutti and her husband Robert of Flemington; Joseph DePinto and his wife Judy of Kingwood Township; and Corrado DePinto and his wife Ren e of Matawan; his wife, Camille DePinto; two dear brothers, Philip DePinto and his wife Mary of PA and Sam DePinto and his wife Mary of NJ; and eight cherished grandchildren.  He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by his family and friends.

Visitation will be Wednesday, March 29, 2017, from 5-8PM, at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, NJ  07735; and Thursday, March 30, 2017, 10AM at the funeral home, with an 11AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Catharine’s RC Church, Holmdel.  Entombment will follow at St. Joseph Mausoleum, Keyport.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association www.alz.org or American Cancer Society www.cancer.org in memory of Joseph.  To post a condolence to the family or for directions to the funeral home, please visit www.dayfuneralhome.com.
