Joseph P. Britanak

Joseph P. Britanak, 87, of Laurence Harbor, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loved ones on Thursday, February 26, 2015.  Born in Keyport, he resided there moving to Laurence Harbor 55 years ago.  He served his country in the Army as a paratrooper from 1946-1948.  For 42 years, he was a general laborer with National Lead, Sayreville.  He was also a communicant of St. Lawrence RC Church, Laurence Harbor. 

Joseph was predeceased by his parents, Paul and Anna (Lisky) Britanak; and his siblings, John, Mae, Paul, George and Ann Britanak.  He is survived by his beloved wife, Claire (Marmone) Britanak; his loving children, Joseph P. Britanak, Jr. and wife Joanna; Anthony L. Britanak; Thomas J. Britanak and Jo-Ann Marie Grimaldi and husband Mike; three dear sisters, Helen Filardo, Rose Britanak and Betty Berth; seven cherished grandchildren, Joseph J. Britanak and wife Kim; Rhea Britanak; Jeremy Britanak and wife Janet; Louis Grimaldi and wife Carrie; Michael Grimaldi; Anthony Grimaldi and Victoria Grimaldi; and four great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Aithan, Jaxon and Jaylin.  He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
