Joan C. (Czulajewska) Moran

Joan C. (Czulajewska) Moran, 89, of Hazlet Township, passed away, Tuesday, August 25, 2015, at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel.  Born in Newark, she grew up and resided there before moving to the Bayshore area 58 years ago.  She worked as a substitute teacher with the Hazlet Township School District before retiring.  She was a member of the Hazlet Garden Club; a volunteer at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank; she loved to travel; and she was a freelance writer of her travels and poetry for the Newark News.

Joan was predeceased by her beloved husband, William Moran, Sr.; and two grandchildren, Dawn R. Bjornsen Nickerson and Kristina Lee Moran Pierson.  She is survived by her children, Renae Moran Molloy and her husband John of Whiting; William Moran and wife Ann Marie of Hazlet Township and Elizabeth Moran Cohen of Little Silver; cherished grandchildren, Ronald Bjornsen and wife Jane; Erica Pivor and husband Kenny; Emma Moran; Samantha Cohen and William Cohen; adored great grandchildren, Thomas Pierson, Katie Pierson, Levi Pierson, Olivia R. Nickerson and Andrew Joseph Pivor; and two adored great great grandchildren, Kale Pierson and Kristina Lee Pierson.  She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
