Jane A. (Mikus) Franson

Jane A. Franson, 87, of Cliffwood Beach/Aberdeen Township, passed away, Monday, February 13, 2017, at home.  She was born in Nanticoke, PA.  Jane worked at Lily Tulip, Holmdel, as a factory worker, retiring in 1980; and was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family.  She was a long time parishioner of St. Joseph RC Church, Keyport.

Jane was predeceased by her parents, John and Nelli Mikus; as well as her siblings, Ed Mikus, John Mikus and Helen Wentko.  She is survived by her beloved husband of 70 years, John Franson; two loving daughters, Jacqueline J. Horton and her husband William of Aberdeen; and Colleen Knueppel and her husband David of Cliffwood Beach; four cherished grandchildren, Jessica Knueppel of Cliffwood Beach; William Horton, III and his wife Amy of Little Egg Harbor; Michael Horton and his wife Christine of Keyport; and John Horton and his wife Kathy of Old Bridge; and three precious great grandchildren, Samantha, Dean and Angelina.  She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by her family and friends.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, February 16, 2017, from 2-4 & 7-9PM, at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, NJ  07735; and Friday, February 17, 2017, 8:45AM at the funeral home, with a 9:30AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph RC Church, Keyport.  Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Keyport.  You may post a condolence to the family or obtain directions to the funeral home at www.dayfuneralhome.com.  Donations may be made in memory of Jane to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org.
