Harry M. Merwin Jr.

Harry M. Merwin Jr., 68, of Laurence Harbor, passed away Thursday July 16th, 2015 at Madison Center, Matawan. He was a lifelong resident of Laurence Harbor. Harry served his county in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was a railroad worker for 30 years before retiring.

Harry is predeceased by his parents, Harry Sr. and Ida Merwin. He is survived by his wife, Kathy of Laurence Harbor; children, Steven Merwin of Laurence Harbor, Carolyn Merwin of Morganville, Eric Merwin and his wife Elizabeth of Woodbridge, and Tracy Chandler and her husband Justin of Aberdeen; siblings, Lee Merwin and Ruthy Novatin, both of FL; and two grandchildren, Tristan and Brady.

Family and friends are invited Tuesday, July 21, 2015, from 3-7PM at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Pl. Keyport, NJ 07735 and Wednesday July 22, 2015, 11:30am at Day Funeral Home with a 12PM prayer at the funeral home. Interment will follow at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the New Jersey Vietnam Veterans Memorial at  njvvmf.org/donations.
