Gloria (Mele) Caprio

Gloria (Mele) Caprio, 93, of Lincroft, passed away, Thursday, October 27, 2016, at home.  Born in New York, NY, she resided in Fort Lauderdale, FL, before settling in Lincroft.  She was a homemaker.

Gloria was predeceased by her beloved husband, Joseph Caprio; her parents, John and Angelina (Pianteri) Mele; and her siblings.  She is survived by  her loving children, Marie Hitchman and Vincent Caprio and his wife Paula; five cherished grandchildren, Joseph, Andrea, Jamie, Tony and Suzanne; and seven precious great grandchildren, Isabella, Vincent, Joseph, Bennett, Grayson, Daisy and Neena.  She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by her family and friends.

Visitation will take place on Friday, October 28, 2016, 2-4 and 6-8PM, at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, NJ 07735; and Saturday, October 29, 2016, 8:45AM, at the funeral home, with a 9:30AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph RC Church, Keyport.  Interment will follow at St. John’s Cemetery, Queens, NY.  Directions to the funeral home or condolences may be posted to the family at the funeral home website www.dayfuneralhome.com.
