Evelyn Agnes (Delaney) O'Brien

Evelyn Agnes (Delaney) O’Brien, 81, of Hazlet, passed away, Tuesday, May 24, 2016, at home.  She was born in New York City, NY.  Before retiring, she worked as a receptionist with Credit Suisse, NYC, NY, for 14 years.

Evelyn was predeceased by her beloved husband, Hugh J. O’Brien; her parents, Thomas and Helen (McGuire) Delaney; and a son, Christopher O’Brien.  She is survived by her loving children, Thomas O’Brien and his wife Cindy; Kathleen Veloce and her husband Rob; Noreen Grill and her husband Ralph; Eileen DeCandia and her husband Jordan; and Robin Giordano; 16 dear siblings, Margie, Thomas, Dennis, Cissie, Mary, Frank, Eddie, Marty, John, Neily, Bernie, Catherine, Dorothy, Maureen and Billy; and eight cherished grandchildren, Robert, Kaitlin, Ryan, Ashley, Melissa, Josh, Jennifer and Damian.  She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by her family and friends.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, May 26, 2016, from 2-4 & 7-9PM, at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, NJ  07735; and Friday, May 27, 2016, 8:30AM at the funeral home, with a 9:15AM funeral mass at St. Joseph RC Church, Keyport.  Interment will follow at the Brig. Gen. Wm. C.
