Eleanor M. (Varca) King

Eleanor M. (Varca) King, 92, of Hazlet, passed away, Sunday, September 27, 2015, at Bayshore Health Care Center, Holmdel.  Born in Brooklyn, NY, she resided in Keyport, then Long Branch, before moving to Hazlet.  She worked as a cashier with Diamond Pharmacy, Long Branch; and then she was the owner/operator of Upstairs Thrift Store, Keyport. 

Eleanor was predeceased by her beloved husband, John King; her parents, John and Catherine (Seidel) Varca; and the last of her 11 siblings.  She is survived by three loving children, John King and his wife Karen of FL; Linda Dowling and her husband Bernie of SC; and Tracey Maffiore and her husband John of Hazlet; six cherished grandchildren; seven precious great grandchildren; and her daughter-in-law, Rose King of Egg Harbor.  She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Family and friends are invited Friday, October 2, 2015, 9:15AM for a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph RC Church, Keyport.  Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Keyport.  Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, NJ  07735, was entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
