Edward Hernberger

Edward Hernberger, 94, of Old Bridge/Cheesequake Village, passed away, Monday, August 03, 2015, at home.  Born in West Virginia, he resided in Manhattan, before moving to Old Bridge 50 years ago.  He worked as a truck driver in Clifton, retiring in 1983.  He was a communicant of St. Lawrence RC Church.  He served his country in the Army during WWII.

Edward was predeceased by his beloved wife, Lucy Hernberger; his parents and his siblings.  He is survived by his loving daughter, Patricia Wheeler of Middletown; three cherished grandchildren, Edward Wheeler and his wife Maureen of Tinton Falls; Michael Wheeler of Middletown; and Scott Wheeler of Middletown; and an adored great grandchild, Chantz Wheeler.  He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Family and friends are invited Wednesday, August 5, 2015, from 2-4 & 7-9PM, at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, NJ   07735; and Thursday, August 6, 2015, 8AM at the funeral home, with a 9AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Lawrence RC Church, Laurence Harbor.  Entombment will follow at Holmdel Cemetery, Holmdel.  You may post a condolence to the family at the funeral home website www.dayfuneralhome.com.
