Edna F. (Collins) Brett

Edna F. (Collins) Brett, 84, of Lakewood, passed away Monday, March 9, 2015, at Leisure Park Care Center Lakewood.  She was born in Brooklyn and resided in Hazlet until 1991. For 20 years, she worked at IFF, Hazlet, in the accounting department, retiring in 1994.  She moved to Leisure Village East, Lakewood, where she lived for 18 years before moving to Leisure Park in 2009.

Edna was predeceased by her beloved husband, James Brett, in 1995; her parents, Wallace and Edna (Aalbue) Collins; and her brother, Jack Collins.  She is survived by a son, John Brett of Toms River and a daughter, Darlene Gawlik and her husband John of Nipomo, CA; five cherished grandchildren, Justin Brett, Jillian Strong, Brendan Brett, Matthew Gawlik, and Evan Gawlik; and four great grandchildren, Samantha, Gemma, and Emily Brett, and Connor Strong.  She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
