Earl J. Williams

Earl J. Williams, 84, long time resident of Laurence Harbor, passed away, Friday August 5,2016 at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel.  Born in Newark he worked as a mail sorter for the United States Postal Service in Newark.  Earl was an Army Korean War veteran and a recipient of the Purple Heart. 

He is predeceased by his beloved wife Elva Jean Williams, daughter Jeanette Scurato and his parents Robert and Hanna.  Earl is survived by his loving children Erlene Weir and her fiance John Pulaski, Lorraine Heilmann and husband Scott, Marie Kelly and husband Joseph, Peggy Crowther and husband Leonard, Robert Williams, Steven Williams and Linda Martucci and husband Michael.  16 cherished grandchildren and 10 precious great grandchildren.  He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by his family and friends.

Visitation will be Monday, August 8, 2016, from 2-4 and 7-9pm at Day Funeral Home 361 Maple Place, Keyport, NJ 07735; and Tuesday August 9, 2016, 9am at the funeral home with a 10am service.  Burial will follow at St. Josephs Cemetery, Keyport.  To post an online condolence to the family or for directions please visit www.dayfuneralhome.com
