Douglas Kevin Brennan, 47, of Laurence Harbor, NJ, passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at Bayshore Community Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.

Douglas received his Associates Degree from the College of Staten Island and was a Compliance Analyst working for the Susequehanna Investment Group in New York.

Douglas was considered a pizza connoisseur as he frequented many establishments far and near the Greater New York area. He also enjoyed gourmet cooking and provided many elaborate meals for his family. He loved taking long car rides, fishing, days at the beach, spending time with his nieces and nephews, playing practical jokes, and being a prankster.  He had a great sense of humor. 

Douglas loved and adored his cat Jezzabel, and above all else loved his family.

He was predeceased by his mother Barbara A. (Mittag) Brennan.

He is survived by his father Kenneth Brennan of Aberdeen, NJ; siblings Linda Pagano and her husband Ron of Guilderland, NY; Dianne Palance of Germantown, MD; Gregory Brennan and his wife Barbara of Shokan, NY and Susan Gaglione and her husband Niel of Lanoka Harbor, NJ.

Douglas leaves behind 11 loving nieces and nephews: Amy, Michael, Lucas, Arielle, Natasha, Eric, Matthew, Daniel, Julie, Emma and Elizabeth.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation for Douglas on Friday, July 22, 2016 from 2-4PM  and 7-9PM at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place Keyport, New Jersey 07735; and Saturday, July 23, 2016, 8AM at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, July 23, 2016 at 9AM at St Clement’s RC Church, 172 Freneau Ave. Matawan, NJ 07747.  Burial will follow at Moravian Cemetery on Staten Island.
