Donna Marie (Pulverenti) Madden

Donna Marie Madden (Pulverenti), 59, of Hazlet, peacefully passed away surrounded by her family on Saturday, February 24, 2018.

She was born in Brooklyn, and has spent the majority of her life in Hazlet.

She loved her family and her two sons, and granddaughters were everything to her. 

She was predeceased by her husband Daniel J. Madden Sr.; her parents Carmen Pulverenti and Marie (DeStefano) Pulverenti; and her stepfather, Fred Purcell.

She is survived by her loving children Daniel Madden Jr. and his wife Alana of Roslyn Heights, New York; and Nicholas Madden of Red Bank.

Donna is also survived by five siblings Judi Giordano and her husband Robert of Allentown; John Pulverenti and his wife Virginia of Ocean Township; Robert Pulverenti and his wife Janet of Edgewater Park as well as Fred Purcell of Hazlet and Della Purcell of Newport News, Virginia.

She is also survived by three cherished grandchildren Stella, Alexandra and Ruby.

Donna also leaves behind five loving nieces Brianna, Jenna, Allyson, Katelyn, Jillian and four loving nephews Christian, James, Anthony, and Brian.

She received her Associates degree from Brookdale Community College of Lincroft and was a District Manager in the Retail industry, working most recently for The Children's Place and for Old Navy prior to that, where she was a beloved colleague, mentor and friend to many.

Donna was an avid volunteer, organizing charity events while at Old Navy to benefit Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation; helping rebuilding houses in Louisiana with Habitat for Humanity; and partaking in a benefit organized to help an Iraq War veteran.

Friends and relatives are invited to attend a visitation for Donna on Wednesday February 28, 2018 at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place Keyport, New Jersey 07735 from 4PM to 8PM and on Thursday March 1, 2018, 9:15AM at the funeral home, with a 10AM mass of Christian burial at St Joseph Church of Keyport, NJ.  Burial will follow at St Joseph Cemetery of Keyport.
