Catherine T. (Logan) Collins

Catherine T. (Logan) Collins, 81, of Holmdel, passed away, Sunday, September 25, 2016, at Bayshore Health Care, Holmdel.  Born in Brooklyn, NY, she resided in Parlin and Brick before settling in Shrewsbury.  Catherine was a homemaker; a communicant of St. Bernadette’s RC Church, Parlin; a member of the Lions Club, Brick; and a volunteer with the NJ Association for the Blind.

Catherine was predeceased by her beloved husband, Thomas Collins in 2009; and four siblings, John Logan, Mary Condon, Margaret Thorton and Helen Doody.  She is survived by her children, Karen Mansuri and her husband Hanif of Holmdel; Michael Collins and his wife Alyssa of Glen Ridge and Gerard Collins of Keyport; a sister, Nancy McConeghy of Hazlet; four cherished grandchildren, Adam, Sara, Samuel and Clara; and many adored nieces and nephews.  She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by her family and friends.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, September 29, 2016, from 2-4 & 7-9PM, at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, NJ  07735; and Friday, September 30, 2016, 8:30AM at the funeral home, with a 9:30AM Funeral Mass at St. Bernadette’s RC Church, Parlin.  Interment will follow at New Calvary Cemetery, Parlin.  You may leave a condolence for the family at the funeral home website www.dayfuneralhome.com.
