Caroline M. Perno

Caroline M. Hackett Perno entered eternal life Tuesday evening with her children by her side. Born in Jersey City, Carol earned a nursing degree before moving to the Keyport/Hazlet area in the 60’s where she co-owned/operated Tom’s Keyport Amoco with the love of her life. After over 20 years in business, she re-entered the nursing field and dedicated the balance of her professional career to the geriatric population.

Carol is survived by a son Tom and his wife Cassandra, daughter Teresa and husband Michael Grande, daughter Carol Ann and husband Steve Medich, four grandsons, two granddaughters, many friends and colleagues. She is predeceased by her husband Thomas, mother Christine, Brother William and in-laws Thomas and Lena Perno.

Visitation will be held Thursday May 19, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9pm at Day Funeral Home 361 Maple Place, Keyport N.J. 07735. A funeral service will be held Friday at 9:30am at the funeral home. Friends may gather at 9am. Interment will be at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Keyport.
