Carmelo Richiusa, 82, of Aberdeen, passed away, Tuesday, May 5, 2015, at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel.  He was born in Villa Rosa Sicily, Italy.  He resided in South Amboy, moving to Aberdeen 42 years ago.  He was a self-employed mason, Richiusa Mason and Concrete, South Amboy, before retiring. 

 

Carmelo was predeceased by his parents, Salvatore and Grazia (Pennezzi) Richiusa and two brothers, Damiano and Vincenzo  Richiusa.  He is survived by his beloved wife, Marianna (Cesare) Richiusa; his loving children, Salvatore Richisua and wife, Barbara of Parlin; Frank Richiusa and wife, Carol of South Amboy; and Paul Richiusa of Tuscan, AZ; stepchildren, Carmen Lena of Matawan and Marcello Tomasiello and wife, Teresa of Sarasota, FL; a sister, Franka Richiusa of Belgium; his cherished grandchildren, Antonella Minardo and husband, Domenick of Manalapan; Steven, Frank and Paul Richiusa, all of Parlin; Gracie Lena of Matawan; Gina Colilla and husband, Ryan of Keyport; Nicole Richiusa of South Amboy; Salvatore Richiusa of Parlin; Carla Lena Bruno and husband, Marvin of Old Bridge; Nicholas Richiusa of Parlin;  Tony, Jared and Brianne of South Amboy; and Marissa Tomasiello of Sarasota, FL; and his adored great grandchildren, Luca, Gianni, Antonio, Ryan and Anthony.  He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

 

Family and friends are invited Friday, May 8, 2015, from 2-4 & 7-9PM at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, NJ  07735; and Saturday, 8:30AM at the funeral home, with a 9:15AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph RC Church, Keyport.  Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Keyport.  To post an online condolence to the family or for directions to the funeral home, please visit www.dayfuneralhome.com.
