Bambina "Betty" (Luzzi) Olszewski

Bambina “Betty” Olszewski, 90, of Laurence Harbor, passed away, Friday, May 27, 2016, at the Venetian Care and Rehabilitation, South Amboy.  Betty grew up in Jersey City and before moving to Laurence Harbor in 1962.  Betty’s greatest passions were caring for her family and cooking.  She also enjoyed bingo, crossword puzzles; and Atlantic City. 

Betty was predeceased by her beloved husband, Gene Olszewski; her brother, Angelo Luzzi; her sister, Carmella Marchiano; and a daughter-in-law, Alice Olszewski.  She is survived by her loving children, Gene Olszewski, Robert Olszewski and his wife Shirley, Lynn Dafcik and her husband Joseph, Susan Beacher and her husband Farrel, Betty Gene Smith and her husband Robert and Elaine Bastedo and her husband Mike; 14 cherished grandchildren; and five precious great grandchildren.  She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by her family and friends.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, June 1, 2016, from 2-4 & 7-9PM, at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, NJ 07735; and  Thursday, June 2, 2016, 8AM at the funeral home, with a 9AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Lawrence RC Church, Laurence Harbor.  Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Keyport.  To post a condolence to the family or obtain directions to the funeral home, visit www.dayfuneralhome.com.
