Audrey M. (Warnock) Vaughn

Audrey M. (Warnock) Vaughn, 82, of Keyport, passed away, Wednesday, June 29, 2016, at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel.  She was born in Keyport and remained a lifelong resident.  She retired as a secretary with Brookdale Community College, Lincroft; and volunteered at Brookdale Nursing Home, Hazlet.  Audrey was a communicant of Jesus the Lord Church, Keyport.

Audrey was predeceased by her beloved husband, Donald Vaughn in 2009; her parents, Leon and Emily (Rawls) Warnock; a daughter-in-law, Dorothy Vaughn; a sister, Patty Safka; and a brother, James Warnock.  She is survived by her loving children, Richard Vaughn, William Vaughn and wife Laura, Carol Humphries and husband Lance, Elizabeth Purcell and husband Robert and Diane Lane and husband James; a dear brother, Leon Warnock; 11 cherished grandchildren and three precious great-grandchildren.  She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by her family and friends.

Visitation will take place on Friday, July 1, 2016, 2-4 & 7-9PM, at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, NJ  07735; and Saturday, July 2, 2016, 9AM at the funeral home, with a 10AM Mass of Christian Burial at Jesus the Lord Church, Keyport.  Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Keyport.  To post a condolence to the family or for directions to the funeral home, please visit www.dayfuneralhome.com.
