Arnold E. Lauer, Jr.

Arnold E. Lauer, Jr., 68, of Howell, passed away, Wednesday, July 27, 2016, at Centra State Medical Center, Freehold.  He was born in South Amboy.  He resided in Old Bridge prior to settling in Howell.  He was currently working with the Old Bridge Municipal Utilities Authority (OBMUA) as a maintenance supervisor.  Arnold served his country in the U.S. Army during Vietnam.  He enjoyed bowling, race horses and traveling to Vermont.  Another enjoyment in his life was crabbing even though time did not always allow him the opportunity to do it more often.

Arnold was predeceased by his parents, Arnold Sr. and Barbara Ann.  He is survived by his beloved wife of 41 years, Joyce; his loving children, Arnold and his wife Kami; Stephanie and her husband Michael; and Sandra and her husband Vincent; a brother, Edward; and four cherished grandchildren, Arnold, Elizabeth, Steven, Vincent and a fifth on the way.  He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by his family and friends.

Visitation will take place on Monday, August 1, 2016, 3-8PM, at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, NJ  07735; and Tuesday, August 2, 2016, 10AM, with an 11AM service at the funeral home.  Interment will follow at the Brig. Gen. Wm. C.
