Anita D. (Woodman) Townsley

Anita D. (Woodman) Townsley, (Nee Nee) 77, of Middletown, passed away, Monday, November 16, 2015, at home.  Born in Staten Island, she was a lifelong resident, moving to Middletown, one and a half years ago.  She was a clerical worker with NY Telephone before retiring.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends -- she'll be ready in a minute.

Anita was predeceased by her beloved husband, Richard Townsley in January 2015; her parents, John and Margaret (Olsen) Woodman, sisters Charlotte Zinicola and Peggy Curry.  She is survived by her loving children, Richard and wife Theresa of Staten Island; James and wife Diane of Staten Island; Joyce Caiazzo and husband David of Middletown; John and wife Dawn of Staten Island; and Patricia McDougall and husband Tim of Hazlet; a dear sister, Joan Gunning and a dear brother, John Woodman, both of Staten Island; 11 cherished grandchildren, Timothy, Alicia, Richard, Kristen, Michael, David, James, Jessica, Anthony, Christopher and Kaylan; and one precious great grandson, Aiden.  She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by her family and friends for her sarcastic wit and her great sense of humor.  She was loved by all.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, November 19, 2015, 3-5 & 7-9PM, at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, NJ  07735; and Friday, November 20, 2015, 11AM, with an 11:30AM prayer at the funeral home.  Interment will follow at Oceanview Cemetery, Staten Island, NY.  To post an online condolence to the family or for directions to the funeral home, please visit www.dayfuneralhome.com.
